Permits and Code Compliance in South Florida
Every fence we install in South Florida is permitted and built to code. We handle the paperwork, the inspections, and the HVHZ wind requirements that apply to Miami-Dade and Broward, so you do not get a stop-work order, a fine, or a fence you have to tear down.
What we handle for you
City and county permit applications. HOA architectural approvals where required (/hoa-fence-installation/). HVHZ engineering and product approval for Miami-Dade and Broward. Inspection scheduling and pass coordination. Final sign-off and closing the permit out.
About HVHZ (High Velocity Hurricane Zone)
Miami-Dade and Broward are inside the HVHZ, which means fence components have to be engineered to meet hurricane wind loads. Not every off-the-shelf product qualifies. We install systems with current Notice of Acceptance (NOA) or Florida Product Approval where required. Outside HVHZ (most of Palm Beach), standard Florida Building Code applies. We confirm jurisdiction before we quote.
Pool barrier code
Pool fences carry their own state code (Chapter 515): minimum 48-inch height, self-closing, self-latching, outward-opening gates, and a latch at 54 inches minimum on the pool-facing side.
